Before Step Makers, Bundi didn't have a place for dancers who were serious. There were classes, sure. But not culture. Not a space where breaking, locking, hip hop, and waacking weren't just taught — they were lived.
"I built the space I
wish had existed
when I was starting."
Sunil started Step Makers because he'd been that dancer. The one who had to travel cities just to find real training. The one who learned from battle footage and YouTube videos because there was nothing else available. He knows exactly what it costs to become good without the right environment.
That's what this place is. The right environment. Built from scratch with everything he wished had existed when he was coming up. Every instructor here has competed. Every style we teach has been broken down obsessively. Nothing is surface level. Nothing is taught just to fill a timetable slot.
We don't just teach the moves. We teach the history — because you can't understand hip hop without the Bronx, you can't understand breaking without the block parties, and you can't understand waacking without the underground clubs where it was born. Context makes you a better dancer. Culture makes you a real one.
We don't take just anyone. We take everyone who's serious. Beginner or advanced — if you show up ready to work, you have a home here. If you're here for clout, you'll get filtered out fast. We're selective not about ability, but about attitude.
Step Makers is two years old. The crew has already competed nationally, produced instructors, and built something that feels like a real dance institution. We're just getting started.
